It’s been a busy month for Reign 31 and the ICK.
After the huge success of Investitures 31, we continued the momentum and held the 1st Emperor’s Carwash on Saturday, August 11th, in the parking lot at Pulse Nightlife. It was a beautiful day (in fact several of us even got sunburned) and the event was an enormous success. With the male and female lines washing over 30 cars and receiving several donations.
The following evening was the HYSTERICAL “Judy Show” held at The Horse & Barrel Pub. “Judy”‘s interactive, impersonation, comedy show included “appearances” by Judy Garland, Pearle Bailey, & (my favorite) Bette Davis, another greatly successful night!!!
HMIM Emperor 31 hosted the 1st monthly edition of Trivia with The Emperor, at our home bar Crossings Lexington with his co-hostess, Miss Helena Handbasket. Just a evening of fun, trivia, & cocktails. This months edition will be held at Pulse Nightlife on Thursday, September 27th. Daryl’s special co-host this month: HIM Dowager Emperor 30 Fred Worsham,(shhhhhhhh, rumor has it……..there could be a special performance, but I’m not one to go around spreading rumors. So you didn’t hear it from me.)
Most recently, we held the annual ICK Julie Vaughn Memorial Closet Ball at Bogart’s Lounge. We had 2 FIERCE contestants vying for the coveted title of Closet Ball Queen/King. Both contestants brought incredible talents to the stage making the judging very difficult and CLOSE. Ultimately, Miss Ava Mack-St. James took the title with her illusion of Beyonce, narrowly beating out Mr. Ziggy Rich’s Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy, by a mere 8 pts. The pageant worthy numbers provided by the female line filled the competition time and rocked Bogart’s Lounge for the full hour!
For the month of September, we will continue our schedule of FUNdraising starting with our Divas of Hazzard show at Crossings Lexington on Wed. the 5th. Complete with a Down Home Buffet of Spam, cheese in a can, bugles, moon pies, Vieeny sausages, and all the fixins.
Reign 31 will be traveling to Washington DC for their 1st Coronation Ball the weekend of the 14-16th, with a large contingency representing the ICK.
On the 26th, we will be hosting a benefit for the American Cancer Society at Pulse Nightlife. Putting on a show in memory of Jon “JUICE” Noland (aka Jeanette Wilde, Mother of the Court)
As you can tell we’ve been extremely busy thus far, and will continue with even more FUN filled events and shows throughout the Reign. We look forward to seeing you at future events.
